Beethoven 4&7


My warm up is really key for Beethoven 4. All those low f’s need some good attention before I sit down in rehearsal. I need to get my air in front of my tongue. It’s too easy to have my tongue get in the way. It requires active and constant attention to keeping my air first and the tongue as just a highlight. When I am able to play the low f’s short and repeated is when I am doing it correctly. The short ones are easiest to use too much tongue so when those feel correct everything feels correct.
